In the state of Maine and a small town along the border of Canada, something evil lurks in the dark woods of the Northern Pack lead by Alpha James and his son Emerson James. Emerson takes care of a strange little cat shifter Kriss whom he had kidnapped from the clutches of the abusive cat clan just south of them. Emerson trails through the odd behavior of the pale, dark haired girl that he has grown to adore as he goes on a journey of what it truely means to be brave and selfless through the means of the weird cat child with glowing silver eyes meanwhile he tries to hunt down the monster in the woods.
