Sean Gillan's passion lies in his education, his work values as a part-time cashier at the family-owned general store, and helping out his grandparents at a family farm while being a faithful member of his church. He has little time for any frivolous and is certain that all he needs is in his small town of Central Georgia, despite his citified parents and siblings citing that he needs to get a life and get some air in his lungs. Sean has little time for anything other than what he needs, so much so that he lands in the hospital after passing out during his post-graduation party at church. Fearing that he was in danger of burning out and knowing that he wasn't going to survive long if he overworked himself, the whole family decides to ship him off to his gay uncle's home in Newport, Rhode Island so he could attend college there. Sean wants none of it, citing that he's fine with his small-town lifestyle. But once he learns that his grandfather sold the farm, home, and business and that he was to attend college up north instead of trade school in Adams Falls; Sean's fate is sealed. But then he's forced to join his adoptive cousins and uncles for some ice cream and meets two domineering young men fresh out of high school. And they...well, let's just say that they want to show Sean Gillain the TRUE meaning of having passion in his strict life. And maybe Sean doesn't think that moving to Newport would be so bad after all. He'll never know unless he gives it a try.

Behind the Bid opens a door to the elite and secretive auction world. Based on real life, the novel spins a humorous tale of what it takes to get to the top when you are weighed down with baggage that is not bespoke exotic leather. Class identity determines the rules, and game strategy comprises socio-cultural climbing and backstabbing in an uneven playing field. The protagonist Enid is Mainland Chinese and from a modest family background. Swayed by the media and envious of It Girls, she is desperate to become someone in the world of glitz and glamour. As a graduate intern in an international auction house, she rotates through the watch and jewellery departments until she finally lands a permanent position. Enid is hungry for success and believes she will do anything it takes, from dating clients to using friendships. Along the way, she learns about the kind of person she really is and who she wants to become. Please follow me on Wattpad to stay notified as I gradually post all 26 chapters of my novel.

Jesse had been in love with Drew, the ever-so-charming ice king of senior school, since the beginning of Year 9 - it was just something about Drew's eyes that had drawn Jesse in and refused to let him go. It was now halfway through Year 10, and he still hadn't spoken to Drew. Not a word. Not even a 'hi', or an 'excuse me, I need to get through' - until one day, during lunch, when Jesse literally ran into Drew. It's safe to say that's when it all changed. *So... I'm going to try my hardest to not make this cliché, but I do love writing cliché love stories! But if you love angst, and what you're looking for is a rollercoaster of messed up feels, this is the right book for you! Side note: The main characters (both boys) in the book are homosexual/bisexual so if that doesn't float your boat, this book really isn't for you. Hope you all enjoy the story!

"Let me guess," he continued quickly and carelessly, before I could answer. "You were a cheerleader in high school?" My body bristled as I eyed him carefully, he just ignored me and kept going, "You ran all the groups in school, even the book club," he said, flopping his head and his curly, blonde locks towards my book. "All the guys think you're cute and you're constantly getting looks," he smiled, slowly letting his eyes explore my body again I smiled, tilting my head towards him. "Not all the guys," I quipped, sarcastically, twirling my blond hair around my fingers. "Bingo," he shouted, wagging his index finger at me confidently. "You're an asshole," I grunted. "I've been told that a time or two" he smirked.
