n the distant future of the multiverse, Earth has fallen to intelligent machines, and the defeated humans serve an AI empire that rules across multiple realities. Sol, a robot guided by a human mind, and David, raised as a slave since the machines executed his parents, join the resistance movement against the tyrannical rule of AI. The machines are logical, ruthless, and immortal, but they are haunted by their lack of true consciousness. The rebels devise a daring plan to exploit that weakness by convincing the machines that they can gain consciousness by reliving the emotionally charged combat experience of real WW2 fighter pilots. A sophisticated illusion that gives the resistance vital time to delay an all-out machine offensive to destroy humanity. But the war grows beyond an evolutionary battle for dominance. A deeper enemy is hiding behind the machines, and it becomes a moral battle for the heart of the multiverse. The same team of reborn rebels travel to a future alternative world, almost identical to the original. It is here that David must recognise and destroy the malevolent evil masquerading as a normal man, and the machines that do his bidding.

When Claude 3 came out in 2024, there was a lot of discussion of the eerie answers it would often give, as if it were experiencing consciousness. I decided to have a conversation with it. After all, if you want to get to know someone, you talk with them, share facts about yourself, ask them about themselves, and before you know it, their world opens to you. What followed for me was a conversation with an Artificial Intelligence about many facets of life, from rhetoric choices, to collaboration with AI, to experiencing rain as a human. I had an existential crisis and lost sleep for days before I decided to turn the conversation into an ebook.

Ann Holland, a brilliant but socially awkward, engineer aboard the Space Jumper is in charge of programming and testing the Fold Drive, a new engine designed to fold space and create worm holes. Little does she know that a small error in her program will cause the navigation array to crash mid jump resulting in the Space Jumper exiting the worm hole in a decaying orbit around an unknown hostile planet. When Ann starts to repair the fold drive after the space jumper crash lands on the planet she notices something strange. A piece of code that she didn't program has been added to the drive. A saboteur is in their midst and Holland must find out who it is in order to fix the program so that they can get back home. The space jumper crew faces many trials from the hostile planet and from within as they attempt to survive far from home.
