Apocalypse whenever By james a. galgano Down past the ominous shadows of Calvary across desert towards Mecca's tomb From each wailing-wall where ancient rites still heedlessly prevail portending doom Caught within a downward spiral carried through the ages by delusional prophecy Like descending dominoes strewn from almost the beginning of recorded time Resigning all fate to some ridiculous biblical decree surrendering to inevitability Without even a struggle to overcome or at least delay succumbing to wicked crime Committed in the name of ever non-existent god man has ever created in its name Upon every altar within every temple or sacristy without a thought what will occur In each unholy name or idol upon which humans fall upon bended knee to proclaim As if it were secured by some inscrutable fate surrendered to be devoutly procured By some unsavory sacrifice believing by such fidelity one enters into heavens gates Which rapidly close so quickly behind leaving all hope and dreams forever resigned Beneath rubble of vainglorious anger, consuming distrust and overpowering hate Humankind's future precariously lingers unfortunately forever upon clinging vine
