You can't force someone to be different or better for you or anyone else. You can't change the past or the person. You can chose anger and disappointment if your hopes for someone don't pan out, but it's so much better for your heart to accept things you don't understand or like as reality and be happy that you grew just by seeing things as they are. You grew, you learned something new, you are a better person for offering forgiveness and moving on. It's hard when your children look to you for answers you don't have, but everyone will be ok if you're ok. Feel everything, the good, the bad, the ugly, but then set it down somehow (I write about it) so that you can smile and laugh with joy you can only feel without the weight of the negative behind your breast.

When You Know, You Know is a tender retelling of an unexpected first date that blossomed into something unforgettable. What began with nerves, a teasing best friend, and the promise of "free dinner" turned into the start of a love story filled with laughter, vulnerability, and a kiss that changed everything. It's about the little moments-the powdered sugar spills, the deep conversations, the quiet realizations-that prove love often shows up when you least expect it.
