Previously titled "Take Flight on a Dragon" _________ The dragon growled, revealing a set of gleaming teeth. The leaking gash on her wing was forgotten as she fixed her eyes on the girl before her, warning her to not take a second step. Kiara raised her hand to calm the purple dragon, her heart pounding in her chest. Every impulse screamed at her to back away but she stood firm, determined to help the dragon who had helped her. The beast's big blue eyes briefly flickered from the girl to her extended palm. Her muscles tensed. Her growl intensified. Yet Kiara refused to leave. _________ Long before she had been sucked into a world of dragons, Kiara was home to a spirit of adventure and curiosity. Bending the rules was second nature to her, questioning them was first. Despite this, she had somehow lived a quiet life in her sixteen years of existence. Her rebellious side was a hidden quality that surfaced now and then but never really made a dent. That was until the one school camping trip that changed her life forever. _________ Hello everyone! This is a fanfic that I'm writing out of my love for How To Train Your Dragon. My story occurs loosely around the Netflix series (Dragons: Race to the Edge) so any characters from that series do not belong to me. Deep in the forest, a new enemy emerges...and now every dragon must put aside their differences...before they all die. Notice 1: Most dragons are owned by Dreamworks, as is Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Zephyr, Nuffink, and their dragons. Notice 2: This takes place eight years after the event of Fading Echoes. Notice 3: Whip is 21 at this point (he was 13 in Fading Echoes), and Aphira is 26. I'm pointing this out for reasons that will be revealed in the story. Like, straight away in the story, but still.

What happens when a ten year old girl who is a fan-girl of both Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Warriors tries to write an original story? They end up with a guilty-pleasure story of their childhood, in my case, Gold Whisker. Twelve years later, now with a strong Watt Pad reputation for good writing and plenty of time to take the proper writing classes, that same girl, me, can take a look back at this "masterpiece" to see how much I have grown as a writer.

A girl with insomnia starts taking pills which causes her to have hyperrealistic dreams that continue everytime when she falls asleep. She meets a boy through her dreams which go on in the past (1950's) and her life gets harder the more time she spends in her dreams. She starts questioning the reality because all the happenings in her dreams are historically accurate. Does he really exist? How is she going to cope with two lives? This is a story about a love which knows no obstacles such as time nor reality.

Can wishes magically come true, and at what cost? Ellie is about to find out when the imaginary boyfriend she created comes to her aid. Who is Damon? What does he want? And how will his unexpected arrival shake the delicate balance of her already complicated relationship with Rafe, the one who captured her heart, a love she keeps hidden?
