Notice 2: This takes place eight years after the event of Fading Echoes. Notice 3: Whip is 21 at this point (he was 13 in Fading Echoes), and Aphira is 26. I'm pointing this out for reasons that will be revealed in the story. Like, straight away in the story, but still.
