Prologue: The Forgotten Melody
The attic smelled of aged wood and forgotten dreams. Dust motes danced in the golden sliver of light seeping through a broken window. Aanya traced her fingers along the edges of an old trunk, its brass lock tarnished by time. Something about it felt sacred, as though it had been waiting for her all these years.
With a sharp tug, the lid creaked open, revealing a stack of yellowed papers tied together with a faded red ribbon. Her breath caught as she carefully untied the knot, unfolding the delicate sheets.
The first letter began in an elegant, flowing script:
"My dearest Amara,
The stars feel closer tonight, but not as close as I long to be to you..."
Aanya's heart raced as she read the words, feeling the emotions spill from the pages-longing, hope, defiance. These letters held a story, one she'd never been told.
She clutched them tightly, a strange ache filling her chest. Who was Sameer, the man who penned these letters? And why had their love been buried beneath layers of silence?
That night, as the desert winds howled outside the haveli, Aanya vowed to uncover the truth.
