Carter Vanderbilt, 45 year old Caucasian male and father of two, is the CEO of a multi-billion dollar publishing company. He's recently divorced his third wife after finding out that she's cheated on him with his companies accountant. No longer looking for love, Carter decides to focus on his company and give up on women. Leilani Jones, a 20 year old African American woman has just graduated community college with an associates degree in journalism. Her passion is writing and to hopefully become published. The summer before heading going away to a university on the other side of the country, Leilani lands an internship at Carters publishing company, working directly under him. Grueling nights, early morning coffee runs, endless amounts of book entries to edit and revise alongside the big bad bass, Leilani finds herself being more than just an intern at Carters company. However, an unexpected contender is also smitten by Leilani and isn't afraid to let it be known... Leilani has to decide before the summer is over.

Luke Hemmings and Kyle Dahl had a very simple relationship, best friends. While comforting each other through rough breakups, they are forced to confront feelings they never knew they had for each other. All while balancing family drama, love triangles, and changes in life. Maintaining simplicity had never been more complicated. (Interracial)

If there's one thing the universe loves, it's irony. And we get to see just how ironic it is when Kiara Washington so happens to transfer to the same college as her ex, Christiano Marks. It's a big campus though, so the chances of the two seeing each other are very slim... unless, of course, they become neighbors again. Obviously the tension immediately forms-- there was never a true conclusion to their chapter. However, with Chris already being romantically involved with another woman and Kiara working to get used to the transition from an HBCU to a PWI, the time to confront the past is not ideal... especially when lingering emotions are so apparent. But sometimes yielding to temptation can't be helped. They were so sure they'd let go. But if that kind of love is real, moving on is never truly an option. It can also refer to an existing relationship in which there's no love or emotional fulfillment, but only a codependent need for affirmation. Lastly, it can refer to a relationship where at any point in time one person likes the other more. To my skinniest love, Jessie Bancroft (This a pretty short story, it started off as Aaron Hotch fanfic/ smut but this angsty cute storyline came together I decided I wanted to share it. It's pretty different from my usual stories but it a nice quick read, if you're feeling h*rny/ angsty give it a try :) )
