History has made us understand how blacks were always treated as....... But in this story, it's quite different. Rebecca and Cassandra cross paths with Rebecca finding out the pains that Cassandra is going through but chooses to remain SILENCED. Since 2008 I had been posting my opinions at online discussion boards. In late 2020 I started a blog called The Other Liberal as my own space to write longer more reflective pieces. These posts cover the period from December 2020 to March 2022. Some are abstract while others are more topical. Race is often dealt with, because unlike many Liberals I'm a working-class black man. I believe that Liberalism despite its shortcomings is still the best politics to ensure a freer and more livable America for all. To me that means a fair economy built on shared prosperity that benefits working people as well as the wealthy and huge corporations. Furthermore no one should be excluded from that prosperity because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. To me individual liberty is the equal right to every American. Whether you agree or disagree keep that in mind as you read these pieces that give a definition of Liberalism, deal with the poor, labor unions, Conservatives, the working class, and race.

If we were all made in Gods image then surely we are Flawless? We don't think so You don't think so We become trapped in the tormenting black hole of our poisoned thoughts Like sitting in a empty room without any other form of life We start thinking we already don't count as life So why not make it official? I fear one day the miniscule strength we have to put down that blade will be gone. Vanished into oblivion And we will hit the ground never to get up again Like fallen stars in a b black sky This is not only my struggle but yours Some have it harder than others But at the end of the day aren't we all on the same boat? We are the oppressed Oppressed by society Oppressed by our thoughts And unfortunately oppressed by these so called comrades All that is left of us are the scarce remnants of a once mighty army Proud warriors The beast stole all our fight with the excuse of beauty Because they are one in the same Beauty is the Beast
