By sunrise, the queen was dead. They found Chloe Monroe's body behind the football bleachers-her signature pink nails caked with dirt, her phone shattered beside her like glass promises. The police said it was murder. The students said it was karma. At Crescent High, Chloe wasn't just popular-she was power wrapped in perfume and cruelty. The kind of girl who smiled at you just before she ruined your life. She could make someone disappear from the social food chain with a single rumor, and she loved doing it. But beneath the perfect hair, the designer bags, and the fake apologies, Chloe had built herself an army of enemies. Everyone had a story, a reason, a scar. A girl she exposed. A boy she humiliated. A friend she betrayed. A teacher she made loose his job. So when word spread that she was gone, nobody cried. Not really. They whispered. They speculated. Some even smiled. Because in Crescent High, everyone hated Chloe Monroe. The only mystery left- was who hated her enough to kill her. ★.·.·.·.★.·.·.·.·★ IMPRESSIVE RANKINGS: #1 in Solve, Solving, highschool mystery thriller and teen thriller all in December 2025 #1 in SOLVE 23/12/25 #2 in CASE 26/12/25 #2 in SOLVING 27/12/25 #2 in INTERROGATION 27/12/25

"The Wolf hunts. The Wolf feeds on its prey. But this... This is different." In the isolated town of Ashford, something old is awake-and it has teeth. A symbol, drawn in blood, violent visions, and an uncanny, terrifying supernatural entity. Something hunts. Something kills. And it's coming for them... whether they're ready or not. *** When Carlos Hernandez survives a brutal encounter in the woods, his life fractures overnight. Haunted by violent visions that feel more like memories than dreams, Carl begins to suspect that the monster stalking Ashford is tied to him in ways he doesn't yet understand. His body changes. His senses sharpen. And the line between hunter and hunted starts to blur. Ashley knows more than she lets on. Raised in the shadow of the forest, she carries her own curse-and her own rules for survival. Training Carl means risking exposure, but leaving him ignorant could be fatal. Somewhere beyond the town limits lives Jude, a reclusive werewolf with a forbidden ability and a connection to Ashley that could unravel everything if revealed. As the Black Wolf's attacks grow bolder, Carl is forced to confront a terrifying possibility: the monster terrorizing Ashford may not be his enemy, but his mirror. To stop it, he must uncover the town's buried history, accept what he is becoming, and decide how much of his humanity he is willing to lose. A dark, atmospheric coming-of-age horror, The Mark blends small-town dread with supernatural mythology, exploring guilt, inheritance, and the violence we carry-whether we choose it or not. Halloween is truly a festive time of year. Spooky stories, haunted houses and vampires that you can't help but thirst over because you're weird like that. That's why Hale Woodsen's inviting you to the Traitre Museum. You know, that weirdly atmospheric place near 86th, the one with the dome ceiling? Yeah. There'll be music. Shadows. Smoke machines. Candlelight that definitely isn't safe. Maybe even a Ouija board or two. Costumes are absolutely mandatory - don't come dressed like a civilian unless you want to be sacrificed mid-party for the aesthetic. For everyone has suffered a tragedy recently, the disappearance of Luca Almirez. For those who don't know (you're living under a rock), the basketballer disappeared a month or two ago, after the biggest game of his life. Nothing's been found about him, and to be honest? We're not sure if there ever will be. He was a best friend, a gifted sportsman, and overall a beloved member of society. Perhaps this is Hale's way of battling the grief. Since, you know, he was Luca's best friend. He's trying just as hard as everyone else to get to the bottom of this. His list of suspects is never ending, from Cady Lovaine to Ruel Cruz, to even Reverie Vale and Leslie Wilde. But they have hunches too, and so the story continues, dangerous and twisted. But that's not everything. If you want to get all the details, let's leave the Halloween party. Let's go to the 2nd of August, where everything began.

Sometimes the truth is just too terrible to ever be guessed... Readers' comments: 'Excellent story', 'gripping page-turner', 'marvellous read', 'great writing', 'simply remarkable', 'a fabulously emotional ride', 'wow', 'what a great book!', 'had me engaged right to the end' Wattys award-winning author (The Painted Altar, literary fiction 2020) When two British brothers are reported missing whilst on holiday in southern Italy, the local carabinieri turn to retired detective Jim Jacks for help. Still pained by a recent divorce, he has started a new life for himself as a small-scale wine producer. Along with commander Nuzzo, he will slowly unravel a mystery which is even darker than it had first seemed... Genre: murder mystery Length: 75,000 words (300 novel pages) Target audience: adult, fans of crime fiction, anyone who likes mysteries full of twists and which are populated by three-dimensional characters Extract: I stayed there at the holiday bungalow with Sarah and Olivia for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Would return again the following morning. An analyst would no doubt conclude that my actions weren't entirely selfless; that as a lonely old divorcee I found a nostalgic comfort in female company. And yes, this might have been part of it. But there was a very practical reason too for my more or less continued presence in the house. I just didn't want to leave them to themselves I suppose, was afraid of what might happen. Yes, the thing I remember most about that forty-eight hour period is the silence. There was something brooding to it. Something ominous, almost delicate, like if it cracked you feared it would explode. An edgy, precarious silence stretching on and on, minute after minute, hour after hour... About the author: I'm a 47-year-old English teacher who has lived in Italy for the last 15 years. I have two other novels on the site, The Painted Altar and Kill Who You Want

25-year-old Grace Avery is a stunning woman working as a detective/investigator. Due to her looks, she often gets sexist remarks from her colleagues, seen only as an object of praise and beauty rather than a fellow detective. Annoyed and frustrated, she goes to an old friend for help and assistance, asking for a partner who doesn't care about her looks and has the brains to work with her, to which she learns that there is a person who could help her, the problem lays in the fact that, that person is the very same man who Grace knew and hated in high school, Basil M. House. Will Grace continue to hate his guts? Is Basil the same man whom Grace knew in High school? And will their relationship change? This is a reimagining of Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Besides being a reimagining, it's also a composite of different mystery stories and movies that I loved, so don't be surprised if some of the cases or puzzles look familiar. Apologies for the grammar mistakes:( Really enjoyed writing this:) This story is also on royal road

I didn't mean to be involved in a murder. I only meant to survive a week-long corporate retreat on a private island where the Wi-Fi was unreliable and everyone hated each other politely. When our host turns up dead before the ferry returns, the rest of us are stranded with no outside contact, too many secrets, and one inconvenient fact: I may not be remembering the night correctly. As accusations circulate and alliances crack, I start documenting everything-mostly to prove I'm innocent, partly because someone needs to keep track of the lies. The problem is, the more I write, the clearer it becomes that everyone has a reason to kill him. Including me. So the real question isn't who did it. It's whether I can trust myself when I think I know the answer.
