Twin of the Wicked follows Neoma Thropp, twin sister of Elphaba Thropp, from her time at Shiz to whatever lies beyond. Prologue out now! (Some updates are minor edits!!)

Just a bunch of random Gelphie stories. Whatever comes into my mind. Trigger warnings always at the beginning of the chapter. If you have requests or writing advice feel free to comment (I won't write NSFW) ! Also, please keep in mind that English isn't my first language. So there are probably some words that will repeat over the story and there are pronably some grammar mistakes too. If you spot any, please tell me! Or if you have constructive criticism! I really want to improve as a writer so I will take any feedback please!

This is meant to be a companion/continuation to my story Watching Over You, but I think it can be read separately as well. A recap: Elphaba ends up in the hospital and slowly falls for Glinda, a nurse there. Glinda catches feelings as well but has a hard time dealing with them. In the end when Elphaba gets discharged, they agree to write to each other, and there is a promise of a first date when the time comes that they can be together again..

As much as Elphaba and Galinda might've liked to think of themselves as opposite, each girl superior to the other, the truth was that they were two sides of the same coin. All it took was a look to know, even though it took longer for either of them to acknowledge it. Denial, it seemed, was a favored method of escapism for both of them (Wicked Movie 2024)

Maybe Galinda was onto something when she said it wasn't about aptitude, rather, the way you're viewed, for all Elphaba's life, the things she did that got HER punished got others rewarded. After a failed spell leaves Elphaba in the hospital, she's cared for by Glinda, a student nurse who brings unexpected warmth and comfort. As Elphaba grows closer to Glinda, she begins to question her feelings and whether her stay is about recovery or something more. Both women must confront their emotions and the connection between them.

After the events of the Emerald City, an upset Glinda Upland is sent back to Shiz University where she must return to her studies. She reminisces on everything that happened earlier that day, right up until she returns to her empty dorm room. or Glinda regrets not coming with Elphaba, and now has to deal with the whole school's interpretation on her best friend after the Emerald City, thanks to Madame Morrible, and whatever she had told them.

Galinda was the good witch. Her perfect personality blinded Oz's eyes, keeping them from seeing who she truly was. Elphaba was the wicked witch. She was made the villain before she could even walk. Aisling was the forgotten dreamer. She was Galida's sister but that's it. Not even to be defined by a notorious name. Until he came along. "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream." Elphaba, once stubbornly proud of her fierce independence and counterculturism, was now a dewy-eyed schoolgirl after Galinda's own heart, a complete and utter dork, who seemed to have tossed all dignity out the window as she followed Galinda's lead. (Wicked Movie 2024)

"Hair like yours is as thick as you are when it comes to social situations!" Galinda jeered. Elphaba blinked in genuine surprise. It was obvious from Galinda's tone that she was trying to be insulting, but Elphaba was lost in thought. No one had ever given much thought as to why her hair was as strange and stubborn as she and her skin were, least of all her. (Wicked Movie 2024)

Right before Elphaba and Glinda meet the Wizard, the blonde and brunette divas that sang to them in the Emerald City Player's "One Short Day" Wiz-o-Mania pull them aside for a final few words of wisdom and maternal advice, wishing them well on their journey... (Wicked Movie 2024, the cameo had me internally screaming with joy)

As they navigate the political intrigue, fierce rivalries, and tangled relationships that define Oz, they will need to trust each other in ways they never thought possible. With danger lurking around every corner, can they forge their path to the wizard, or will Oz's enchantments tear them apart?
