Somewhere in a faraway galaxy is a world like Earth and it is called Utain, it has the same atmosphere also it orbits a sun, however Utain has 1 blood red moon and a blue moon. The occupants of this planet are human but they use more of their brain power so they are what we would call witches (they are good) and wizards (they are evil), in a small town called Brookgate that is on the outskirts of the city of Atlantis in the United Nations of Artimus (UNA) lives a boy called Simon Davis Jones, 17 with his mother (Sandra, 46), father (George, 48), sister (Hannah, 22) and twin brothers (Jamie, 10 and Connor,10), in a large old 4 bedroomed house with a large kitchen/dining and living room also has a conservatory that goes along the side of the house as well as the one at the back of the house, The old house has been in their family for hundreds of years and it holds a terrifying monster in the ground under the basement the is called the darkness ( the darkness can take over any one good or evil and can be used for either side, it can be used for goodness or darkness depending on who has the house and if they release it, the only people that know about this are Simon's parents). The start is set at the beginning of the holidays for the kids and the main holidays last 8 weeks.
