"On her wedding night, Vani learns the cruel truth-her marriage was never meant to be love. Ahaan, the man she has just married, storms into the room drunk, accusing her of ruining his sister's life. For six months he disappears, leaving her to suffer insults, blame, and a marriage built on misunderstanding. But when he returns... he finds a woman changed, a truth he never knew, and a love he never expected to fight for."
🛑Short prologue:-
The room smelled of roses and incense-symbols of a new beginning.
Vani sat quietly on the edge of the decorated bed, her hands trembling in her lap, waiting for her husband. Her heart was nervous, hopeful... and innocent.
Then the door slammed.
Ahaan staggered inside, hair messy, shirt half open, a glass of whisky dangling from his fingers. His eyes were sharp, angry, burning with something she couldn't understand.
He came dangerously close, his breath heavy.
"So this is the face," he whispered coldly, "of the girl who destroyed my sister's life."
Vani blinked, confused. "Ahaan... what are you saying?"
"Oh, don't act innocent," he spat. "You and Veer... my jiju. Don't think I don't know. You were his-"
He laughed bitterly.
"His mistress. His rakhail."
The word stabbed her like a knife.
Her throat dried. Her eyes filled. "No... that's not true... I never-"
"Save it." He stepped back, disgusted. "I married you only to teach you a lesson. Don't expect anything from me."
And then, without another word, he walked out of the room.
That night, her marriage ended before it even began.
