Schlatt and Wilbur, both on opposing major league hockey teams are met and brought together during the stressful times with the battle for the Stanley cup. Due to Wilbur's consistent change, everyone on Schlatt's team is confused and irritated, but Schlatt is the most. The two's major difference, and a certain act that Wilbur does, will get Schlatt stuck in a loop and a haze, to wonder what he really feels and what he needs to give up.

This is an alternative universe where Schlatt and Wilbur were friends for a long time and after he exiled Wilbur and Tommy things for him turned out a very different way he never thought would happen to him of all people.
