Leah ends up at waterloo road after the merger, but the night before she sleeps with someone, someone who ends up to be tom clarkson, her English teacher. When Leah arrives at waterloo road, she and tom are shocked to see each other again. Leah and tom soon end up having a 'just sex' relationship. She knows deep down that she could be doing it to get at max, she wants to punish him for her mum leaving. Before long Leah starts to look at tom in a different light, she knows that she is falling for tom, but with max starting to get suspicious can they hide their relationship from max or will he soon find out?

This is a story about the day to day of any normal high school student who is trying to make a name for themselves. This is all while juggling the day to day life of school and home. It can all be hard but when you got drive and good friends, anything is possible. Even if you do go down a dark path.
