I jumped at a light that had turned on in the hall way. "Oh my God" I thought out loud He's awake. My heart started pounding so loud I was certain he could hear it. I heard the sound of a TV and I let out my breath. I walked over to the door and with shaky hands opened it cautiously, trying not make a noise. It was open just enough for one eye to look out and there he was. He stood so still with only the light from the TV to make out his silhouette. He was so dead looking, just standing there with his head hung not even watching the TV. It made a cold shiver run up my spine just looking at him. He slowly turned around from the tv and walked over to a couch. Just before siting down he raised his head, and looked straight at me. I slammed the door shut before quickly retreating to my bed. I closed my eyes trying to calm myself down . I didn't understand at all. What was wrong with me? He said I could go. I knew I should go! For some unexplainable reason, I wanted to stay.
