No one but her guy best friend. Ever since she was young, she'd been facing the societal expectations and pressures of society. Penelope’s so uninterested she staples her best friend’s shirt to a desk, steals her lunches — the good ones anyway, and ties her to a tree with a skipping rope. To escape boredom, Penelope journeys to capture a Willimagnificawallgog, legendary creatures that bestow magnificent fortunes. Andrew, a shy nine-year-old, encounters Penelope, tussles with her; then goaded to prove his courage joins her dangerous search; unknown to them a Willimagnificawallgog quests to snatch a human being and sneaks into Andrew’s coat pocket. Unwittingly, the three enter a living menacing forest where they are enslaved by a dictatorial King and forced by its formidable beasts to build a zoo to imprison the fabled creatures. Along their terrifying expedition they are carried into a dream world, commune with a thought, are trapped by Samuel a half-man half-fish, bring to life Joheedga, a game playing card; and are pursued by an Eternal Idea intent on destroying them. This swift fascinating tale, with philosophical surrealism, is for every child who craves a space where both inner and outer realities come together to create a place of trust on how to adapt to our unpredictable world.

Time, fate, chaos, willpower, nature: ideas born from man, used by man, honored by man. Most of the time, at least. These ideas, these concepts, unbeknownst to humankind, have been born into this world as human-like beings, and for the whole of mankind’s existence, they have lived among them as fleeting faces. For the most part, they have remained unnoticed, even by their own kind. Until the War of Nations. Chance, the being of fate, joined forces one hundred years ago with a cruel man by the name of Demarcus Sotelo, threatening those of his own kind to join or suffer. Life is full of events and opportunities drifting in and out. From ordering a pizza while sitting at home to becoming a writer, you can do anything. Absolutely anything. Life has so much to offer....but what does it have to offer to a 12-year-old boy who lives in a slum? Samarth is a poor boy who leads a simple life away from the qualms of the city. His family is poor and by that, I mean, in fact, very poor. Samarth's father and grandfather work on the farm while his mother sings in passenger trains for money. He has a younger brother too who met with an accident a few years back and suffered a great tragedy. The incident left a great hole in Samarth's life and heart, a hole no one except his now incapacitated brother could fill. Samarth felt as if he had been thrown into a black hole. As the heartbreaking event took place, everyone's hopeful eyes shifted to Samarth. It was both despairing as well as painful. The pressure was inexplicable. As the family now could only lean on him to get them out of poverty and get his brother treated, Samarth's shoulders drooped. Can a boy who doesn't do well in studies, is self-doubting and poverty-stricken really reach the sky, achieve his goals and get his family out of poverty as well as his brother treated? Could a mere spark ignite a whole new flame of purpose and belief in himself and be much more than the world perceived of people like him? This book is a symbol of hope for all the poor as well as the rich alike. The story is about showing courage in the face of adversities, fulfilling expectations, never giving up, having confidence in oneself, and being more than people thought... the world thought. The journey to success won't be easy. It is never easy but somehow you just have to believe in yourself, your goal and it will take you to the pinnacle of life.
