Margery has just lost the dearest person in her life- her sister. Now it is just her and her father, James Villas, formally a captain of the United States Cavalry. However, it is shortly after her sister's funeral when she meets a dashing English gentleman. And he, through the dark clouds of her sorrow, is able to shine a blessed beam of light. But is all as it seems?

Ashdown Island has been holding secrets from the mainland for centuries. Now, when someone is on the verge of uncovering those secrets, what can the final lady of Ashdown manor do?

We live in a world of bliss, a bliss so divine, that it's so hard to find. Things in life are complex, and the life we choose becomes a reflection of who we are. Love is a beautiful flower, but its stem is loaded with thorns, ready to strike one down. But love is a beautiful feeling, one that would overcome all in this world.
