He's liked her forever but his past stops him from dating Layla ignores all of his past and offered him chances when no one else would. In this fic Quackity is a police officer and the one criminal still evading his grasp is the one and only Wilbur Soot. Wilbur loves messing with quackity and sending him on wild goose chases and Quackity absolutely hates that about Wilbur. Captured and taken from her home until the Sheriff can pay off his debts she learns the secrets of her family, how her mother really died and maybe that this outlaw wasn't bad by choice, but by contract. Wilbur didn't hesitate to take me in his arms as I poured out my emotions like breaking dam. "Shh darlin, I know" He voice carried words of comfort but I shoved him off me. "No! You knew! You always knew!" I yell through the tears. "You lied to me" I let out a choked sob and his heart ached when he saw me. "How can you not see it? I never lied to you, your father did." He says calmly, trying to get through my head that my Father wasn't the man I thought he was. "No! He's... He wouldn't- he... He loved her" I fall to my knees as it all comes crashing down, my mother, he couldn't have. It would explain why he went so far in to debt, why he got so desperate. "He... I-" Wilbur kneels down and places a hand on my shoulder. "It'll be okay darlin' I promise" he said as our eyes met, a dancing flame of warmth and comfort shown in his chocolate colored eyes. I fall into his arms, my reality was shattered, my dreams were never real.
