William Herondale, an 1870s shadowhunter, has landed in a different time frame than the one he belongs in. All he knows is that he was on a mission with the Lightwoods as usual and then all of a sudden he was in 2013. Confused, hopeless, and lost, Will is trying to find his way back home to his loving wife and family.

Jem had always known that he was dying, but this time, he doesn't exactly stay dead.

She finds shelter in the London institute and helps her ancestors solve a serial killer case while they help her find a way back to the present.
