A Wilbran fanfic about a boy who stayed and a boy who finally learned how to leave. When Wilson left his hometown to attend college across the country, he didn't think he was going to be leaving a lot more than his town. A year later, Wilson returned back in Georgetown for the summer.

The Thornfield's and the Scott's have always been close, ever since Mary met Laura back in high school all those years ago. However, their sons, Wilson Thornfield and Brando Scott, have never seemed to get along. Wilson always found Brando to be loud and obnoxious. Brando always found Wilson to be too quiet and snarky. And every year, like clockwork, both families go to the woods for their yearly Christmas getaway. One week, one lodge, two families. Brando and Wilson usually have an unspoken truth to stay out of each other's way. However, on the night that the adults go out to town for their annual night out, a snowstorm hits, preventing them from driving back. Cutting out the phone signals. Locking the boys inside. Together. With no technology. As secrets begin to unravel, truths get brought to life, and the hatred that guarded the boys slowly began to melt in front of the flickering flames.

After the events of Caramel, Wilson and Brando have to navigate their new life in California, away from the Texas scene. Facing trials and tribulations, discovering new parts about themselves and each other, all the while trying to maintain a healthy, happy relationship. The sequel to my previous fanfic (The Story- W+B forever?), do Bran and Wil have what it takes to love each other under all circumstances- that being long distance? Or in the presence of unloving parents? Just remember, it's not the end of the story...

After a messy divorce between Texas native Wilson's parents, his mom packs up and moves them to Austin to go live with her wealthy parents. The next summer however, his dad claims he's sober and ready to start a new relationship with his son so Wilson makes the move to spend the summer back home in Georgetown. When his old best friend Brando shows up at his window the first night he's back Wilson remembers just what made it so hard to leave in the first place. After a year apart will their friendship stay just as strong? Or become something new entirely? Inspired by Conan Gray's upcoming Wishbone album. Has little bits and pieces from all his albums and songs though.

Life for Brando Sinclair had never been easy. He always felt as if his arms were being pulled tightly in every direction- never once letting him stop to enjoy the moment. He worked hard to get himself through high school and into his dream college, which wasn't an easy task. And now as a full time student, working a full time job, and being the voluntary hero of the city, he had never felt so lonely during the busiest years of his life. But the day he met Wilson Hain, a feeling in his chest told him it would be okay if he slowed down to enjoy the view for the first time in his life.

When Wilson gets an unexpected post card from his best friend back in Texas he doesn't know what to do. If he goes back will all his feelings rush back? Will Brando have the same feelings? Or maybe something neither of them expected will happen, something so much worse. All in one summer.
