Following the death of her brother, Neteyam, Tuktirey Te Suli Neytiri refuses to let grief define her. At just fifteen years old, she is determined to become a strong warrior who can protect her family and honour her lost brother. While her siblings choose to remain among the reef clans, she begins her journey home, riding her beloved ilu, Ralu, and preparing for the rite that will one day earn her an ikran of her own. However, fate intervenes when a Wind Trader ship crashes into the sea before her eyes. From the wreckage, she rescues a quiet, wounded boy her age - Wäyse'ti (Wise) - a Wind Trader who has been left mute by trauma and loss. What begins as an act of compassion slowly grows into friendship and then something deeper as two grieving souls find understanding in silence, shared strength and stolen moments beneath glowing forests and open skies. As war threatens Pandora once more and the clans turn against each other, Tuk faces trials that test her courage, loyalty and heart. Guided by Eywa - and by a rare blue-violet ikran who has waited years for her - Tuk learns that destiny is not only about the battles we fight, but also about the people we choose to stand beside. 4/33 edited Started: 03/02/2026 Ended:? "Tread lightly, Ash-Walker," Itani said, her voice a calm, melodic contrast to his grit. "You are in a place of the Great Mother. Here, we do not feed on the fear of the small. Cruelty is a sign of a hollow spirit, and this reef does not accept what is empty." yes- if you recognize this story I did first publish it on an old wattpad account. I've since reuploaded it to my new account with my official pen name. Enjoy!
