' That's what drum corps does to you, it takes you away from your loved ones for three months. But trust me. It's totally worth it. Hi, my name is Jayne Philips and this the story of how I met Sean. And of course how I survived my year on Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps Colorguard.

We all know that band and football don't get along. This is a story of that somewhat changing well, at least for these two people.

Color Guard is a really awesome experience, and if you do nothing after school during the summer, then I recommend you do this! It is always fun, but it can be tiring if you aren't fit for it. So, let me give you some tips, talk about stuff!

See, the band director, Shino Sensei, didn't like the idea of Color Guard being its own thing so he decided to call it a unit of Marching Band. Whatever. Azure didn't care that much about what it was called. Whether it was called a unit of Marching Band or even just 'the flag spinners', Color Guard would always be about spinning flags, tossing rifles, and catching sabres. And losing. Nothing about Color Guard would change. Nothing about her 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 would change. Oh how wrong she was. In this Marching Band AU, Azure grows closer to her teammates, finding a family within them. She meets new friends, a group she likes to call Cap'n Crazy and his wildcats, and experiences crazy adventures with them. Adventures she thought could only happen in a coming-of-age movie. Just thought I'd make something to share the Color/Winter Guard routines that I make.

Natalie has spent months perfecting her routine for the biggest winter guard competition of the season-Championships.
