A bard trapped in the middle of a siege and forced to fight back. However, there is more to this bard than meets the eye. There is more to him than even he knows.

(This is a Skyrim fanfiction, and while I do use some of my original characters, the majority are credit to Bethesda) Ferin Juelwulf, a Breton residing in Whiterun has always leaned on the side of safety, and the side of safety has often provided all. But safety, and the typical security of the Whiterun walls seems to have turned a blind eye, when Ferin realizes he is being pursued by a member of the dark brotherhood. A cunning assassin who ties him into a cat-and-mouse chase by always only being a few steps behind him. But, back at the brotherhood, a new presence brews tension and breaks trust.

Reminder- Almost none of this is actual canon. Remember that a fanfic is called that because it is not real. --- Ancano is usually not very well liked in the Skyrim community, but I still wanted to create a fanfic to get my mind off it. --- The Reader character is not named Y/n. None of my Reader characters are, so not very surprising. Blaise Whitemane isn't like his family. Blaise doesn't want to use weapons to fight - he's a magic user. Blaise seeks out companionship at the College of Winterhold but unexpectedly sets off a chain of events while exploring the Nord ruin of Saarthal - events that may or may not lead to destruction, depending on how he deals with it. Along with the pressure of trying to prevent universal doom, Blaise is also tasked with discovering who Miraak is and how he is relevant to his mother, Skylar Whitemane. There's a lot of pressure on Blaise but he's determined to find a way to stay on top of it all. A/N: This book is running simultaneously with The First and Last Dragonborn. They both take place in the same time period. You need to read The Dragonborn Comes (first) and That's Madness (second) first to understand both.

Malg has come all the way from the Dragontail Mountains to study at the College of Winterhold and is expecting to amaze his teachers and dispel the notion that orcs make poor wielders of magic. However, his life at the college does not go exactly as he might have expected.

However, she's anything but prepared for the journey that lies ahead of her. She's inexperienced, clueless, nearly incapable of fending for herself, and her lack of common sense is almost unreal. However, she's determined to make a better life for herself than the one she had before, and her resolve alone might just be enough to help her reach her goal. Well, that is, if things were going in her favor to begin with. There is another force that seeks to divert her path to a less pleasant venue, and it is far stronger than she is. In order to keep herself from losing sight of why she even left home in the first place, she'll have to stay ahead of a surprisingly powerful, on-the-rise faction in a foreign land - and she won't be able to do that alone. This aspiring mage will travel alongside pickpockets and pariahs, mercenaries and monarchs, and many more intriguing inhabitants of the province of Skyrim on the way to achieving her dream - and, just maybe, she'll befriend a few of them along the way way. But her path will not be an easy one - at least, not the one that she's hoping to take. She will have to make sacrifices and learn to adapt to unfavorable outcomes, and, in the end, she may learn that following her dreams might not be in her best interest.
