I participated in a writing challenge on IG spanning fourteen days, writing a thousand words per day. The creators released a new writing prompt each day that we had to incorporate into our short stories. In my main series, we meet the fae monarchs multiple times over the course of six books, but we never hear their stories. For example, we know the Winter Court hates the Summer Court, but why? This backstory, set in the legendary Atlantis, will answer that question. Warning: this short story ends on a cliffhanger.
