Ah, yes. The timeless questions about mortality and death. You have long been interested in existential questions, which in turn, gave you existential dread. This was a recurring pattern that left your guardians, your sisters and friends looking at you very disturbed and confused but nonetheless very supportive. You indulge yourself in these questions, wanting to know more what happens to life after death, and if there is indeed a life after death. Or if people just ... cease to exist. You often read up on myths and stories and literatures regarding the exploration of the afterlife and the underworld. Travel to the underworld, descriptions of what it might look like, the works. One of your current favorites is The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, but more specifically; the first half of the trilogy entitled the The Inferno. The other is the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Morbid and macabre as it is, according to one of your sisters, all is well. Until you find yourself in the dark woods with essentially no memory of what just happened before you got transported here. === I know I am terribly late, but if you knew me personally, I adore classical literature and existential questions. So it happens, a dear friend introduced me to OTGW. I adored the series and all of my friends in Discord collectively watch me tweak out when I realized what the show was alluding to. That was an experience; and at 2am, no less. An experience I never forgot, and an experience that led me to the creation of this book. This would be the very first time I'd be tackling the task of writing in existential themes. Also, I would like to say that Reader here is a female and has a name, but it's a temporary name; which means your name is still canon in this book! You're just ... well, you shall see when you read it! :DD

Upon trying to find his way home, Wirt stumbles across a cute neighborhood in a large clearing of the forest with small farms, almost like the villages you'd see in Minecraft. it being late, Wirt and his brother are offered a place to stay overnight by a girl named (y/n) (l/n). But when the beast shows up later, everything clicks together, and Wirt realizes theres something about her that he never thought would be.

It somehow comes out that Beatrice moves to the school where Wirt is. Sarah seems to only use Wirt and she breaks his heart. It's been almost a year since Greg and Wirt returned home from the Unknown. She, too, was returned to her family and had successfully turned everyone back to humans. It's been almost a year and she hasn't stopped thinking about a certain boy who once wore a red cone on his head. And she was going to do something about it.

Wirt, Greg, Beatrice, and Greg's frog journey through the unknown leads them off trail as they wonder into a decaying kingdom filled with monsters, machines, and malice. Seeing how far they are from the Unknown and from home, they realize that they would need help from a young man with pointed ears and has suffered a slight memory loss. Together, they will journey through the lands of wild kingdom in hopes to restore the peace to Hyrule. The only thing they should be wary of is Calamity Ganon and his monsters, as well as a Beast that hides in the dark shadows in the forest.

This story tells of the two brothers who wandered into the Unknown and made friends, slayed the beast and helped others along the way. The Journey may have come to a brief stop, but it is not yet over. Wirt and Greg are needed in the Unknown to keep peace and help those in need. With their now human friend Beatrice, the two brothers must navigate their way through this once forgotten land as the "Heroes of the Unknown". They will meet new people, face new threats and solve mysteries that lead to a great discovery.

The woods are weird, who knows what will show up. It's rather odd though when a boy shows up in a river with no recollection of how or why he got there. That's the beauty of them though, their always full of the best surprises. But his parents have dragged him and Greg on an impromptu road trip across the Western United States. 1995. Y/N L/N, Little Miss Perfect, Beloved by All, is shoved over to Wirt's table as her friends scheme to try and humiliate the boy who was helplessly falling for their plan. however, she couldn't help but fall for him, and fall into the unknown.

*WARNING* This story contains spoilers for the ending of the show Over the Garden Wall. Please proceed with caution. In a different turn of events, Wirt, desperate to save his younger brother Greg, decides to take the beast's deal. However, the beast's intentions were far more treacherous than he had expected. Rather than Greg's spirit being placed into the lantern, the spirit of the beast is placed inside - Wirt's spirit. With the role of the beast now given to Wirt, the identity of the previous beast is revealed. Now, with his brother taken over by the beast, Greg, with the help Beatrice and a few others, must find a way to bring Wirt back - or accept his terrible fate.

Wirt wakes up to find himself lost in the woods... again. Without Greg or Beatrice, he tries his best to find a way out until a kind boy offers to help him return home. Short Pinescone headcanon. Enjoy (: [cover art is not mine but was edited by me]
