50 years after the tragic disappearance of a bride in a small town in California, two lovers who aren't allowed to see eachother go into the woods where she dissapeared. Soon enough when the time of the year where they light fireworks for her to find herself again, she dissapears along with the two lovers.

A fairy tale of the son of a Duke who would rather become a musician than a knight in shining armour. This is a story about family karma, suffering from parental expectations and healing through true understanding. The storyline of 'The Two Owls' is loosely based on a 19th-century fairy tale from Posen (former Province of Prussia). The title of the original is 'The Travelling Singer and the Earl's daughter'. The original has a popular theme of a damsel in distress and a predictable outcome: the travelling musician releases the wealthy daughter from her suffering and wins her hand in marriage as a reward, while the wicked witches are killed. 'The Two Owls' is woven around a different message. This is a contemporary fairy tale about the son of a Duke who is suffering from a mysterious illness. A travelling musician comes to the rescue in this story as well. He also gets rewarded by the wealthy father. But the greatest reward lies elsewhere, and everybody wins.

Cassandra has spent her youth running the canals of Venice, keeping one step ahead of trouble by the use of her wits and stolen skill with the rapier. But now she has come of age in the eyes of society and a casual vow made when she was only a child has come back to haunt her, and the consequences may prove to be lethal.
