He stared into my eyes once we'd stopped, searching, creating a strange feeling that came from the bottom of my stomach and rose to my chest. I felt vulnerable in that moment, and I glanced away to escape his gaze. Although he only touched my chin in response, and turned my face towards him again. "Lacey, is something bothering you?"
