It's pretty much undeniable, our lives revolve around some form of currency. It's always a joy to find some money that wasn't yours, or anyone's really, just lost property of the world, or maybe lost property of some fool recently a few cents poorer. We view lost pennies as something to wish on, something to drop into fountains, into wells, something to work some unexplainable superstitions. What if it was the other way around? What if those very pennies weren't all they seem to be?

When three kids find themselves lost in a forest, they stop at a well to rest and when they make a wish then talk about the wish granter. Is it a lovely angel or a scary looking dragon? One of the children will soon find out.

**Warning- This book mentions suicide, so if that could set you off please don't read Devin and her mother uproot and move back to the town Devin grew up in after her brother commits suicide. As Devin learns to cope with her brother's death, and the stress of moving and connecting to people, she finds herself in a whirlwind of activities when a boy she used to be friends with (Sebastian) finds a wishlist that Devin accidentally leaves by the town wishing well. He makes it his duty to complete all the wishes Devin has on her list. He seems to be a bit of an asshole, but even Devin has to admit that he's charming. So what happens when he quite literally makes her wishes come true?

Lacey is a bat girl. Seven years ago, her mother wished at the well in the heart of the Wish Wood, transforming a young bat-ling into a human girl--mostly human. But Lacey is growing up, Mama has a real daughter now, the kids in town tug on her pointy ears, and the schoolmistress chides her for hissing and baring her sharp teeth at her tormentors. Lacey is overwhelmed by all the typical angst of being a teenage girl, being an outcast, and the animal nature inside her--which seems to be out of her control. Will she give in to her baser instincts or will she be the daughter Mama wants her to be? The struggle brings her back to the haunted Wish Woods, where she learns just what kind of animal she can be. Short tale of a wishing well, old crone, and hero...

Samson has always been alone, trapped in a world that doesn't understand him. Music is his only escape, and writing is the only way he can give voice to the feelings he can't speak aloud. Inspired by Juice WRLD's Already Dead and Wishing Well, this is the story of a boy navigating darkness, loneliness, and the fragile thread of hope-only to realize that some battles are fought alone, and some hearts remain untouched by the world.

Anna is looking for adventure like any other child. Anna has one younger brother named Jack but he doesn't like spending time with her. Her parents can't spend time with her because they are busy most of the time. One day she opens her computer to find out that there is a wishing well somewhere deep in the forest which can make her wish come true. Throughout her journey, she learns to be careful of what she wishes for or else darkness will swallow her.

The old wishing well was the only thing left from the 1900's the new "updated, improved, & perfect" town was so far from it. The only person who could tell of the imperfectness of the town was Alana. She was disgusted as the cars flied by, or when the over weight people crunched on there oversized food. She loved the wishing well tho. It gave her hope, hope that no flying mustang or cheeseburger could give her.
