"It wasn't suppose to end up like this, this wasn't suppose to happen," She sobbed into her hand, the soft golden ringlets falling around her shoulders like a halo that protected her dirt covered angelic face. "It isn't your fault, Avery," he whispered down to her, he was a great deal taller than her, her head barely coming to his shoulder, and she sobbed louder as the firing of artillery continued to travel over the mountain. He patted her shoulder through her shawl and she sobbed louder again, they were rising uncontrollably now. "Yeah, you couldn't have to had anything to do with it, Avery," Aries attempted in vain to comfort her, COMFORT, her as he had his arm around the shoulder of her best friend and subconsciously rubbed his thumb along her bare shouldered skin. Avery glared at him and he looked back dumbstruck, as if he knew nothing. Avery clenched her jaw and glared at him, hard, the anger spiraling up in her chest like an angry black venom that lined her tongue as she spoke.
