"I'm not the villain. I'm not the heroine either. And at this point- I'm starting to think that might be a problem." Hi. I'm Amanda. Or... I was. Now I'm stuck in someone else's body-Cassiane's-and apparently, she had a lot going on. I thought transmigrating would mean a fresh start. Maybe some plot armor. Maybe even a dramatic glow-up. Instead, I got chaos. And whatever this story is... it's definitely not going the way it's supposed to.

Good morning, I'm Kalliope Aoidós (yes, spelled like this: Καλλιόπη Ἀοιδός... pretty impressive, right?), Technical Account Manager at a company in... well, I'm sure you don't really need my CV for this. Let's try again. Hey, I'm Kalliope Aoidós, and I've got a little problem. Okay, more like an incurable, family-heritage problem. Technically, it's genetic-something my family has been conveniently passing down for centuries. One of my great-great-great-great-grandparents thought it was totally appropriate to insult his muse, calling her a "good-for-nothing" and a "sellout." How charming, right? Too bad that muse was THE Muse after whom I'm named. Apparently, she's not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So why on earth do I have the honor of carrying the name of the one who cursed my entire family tree? Oh, that was my grandmother's brilliant idea. In a way, they "sacrificed" me to her by giving me her name, hoping it would change her mind about the curse. Spoiler alert: It didn't. So here I am, just like hundreds of my ancestors, stuck in the same lovely swamp. I'm a Book Jumper or, as my grandmother (who has a flair for dramatic epithets) likes to call me, a βιβλιοποδητής, which basically means "walker of books." And these are my stories. Or, more accurately, my delightful misadventures. All rights to the original characters, setting, and source material belong to their respective copyright holders. "Seven years of grey suits, corporate meetings, and a husband who didn't look at me anymore. I thought I knew what my life was. I was wrong." Samantha thought she had a stable life-until she walked through her front door and found her husband, Mark, in bed with her own sister. Broken and numb, Samantha doesn't scream. She doesn't cry. She simply packs her bags, throws her corporate jacket in the back seat, and drives. With nothing but a road atlas and a finger pointed at a map, she ends up in Penmarris Cove-a tiny, salt-swept village on the edge of the world. But running away is only the beginning. As the "Grey" begins to fade and Samantha picks up her paintbrushes for the first time in years, she realises that the secrets of the Cove run as deep as the sea itself. One woman. One betrayal. And a second chance at a life full of colour.

She came to Chicago with two suitcases, a thousand dollars, and a thesis that her committee called a masterpiece. He came with an IQ of 233, a Fields Medal, and absolutely no interest in inefficiency. Janan Aryan didn't expect her first day at UIC to include sleeping on a couch, forgetting the name of the project she was literally funded to research, and being informed - at 8:01 AM - that she had already committed her first strike. Dr. Julian Archer doesn't do warmth. He does systems, optimization, and the quiet, devastating precision of a man who has never once been wrong. To him, Janan is a variable in his research equation - one that arrived fifty-four seconds late and needs to be brought up to standard. To Janan, Julian is simply beyond the scope of anything human. A moving brain. A theorem with a jawline. Definitely not someone she needs to worry about. She is wrong about that last part. Maximum Power Transfer: a slow burn about the world's most efficient man and the Iranian PhD student who was absolutely, completely, not falling for him.

The yearbook said, for all posterity to remember: Least likely to succeed at being worth knowing. She never forgot. She never forgave. Ten years later, she's the only person in the room who knows exactly how incongruous that is. The invitation came with a handwritten note: We understand if this isn't the right time for you. Do they? Do they really? Maybe it's time they found out appearances can be deceptive. For ten days, nobody at her reunion will know who she really is. They'll have her name. That's all. Not what she's built. Not what's actually happening forty feet away. She just needs someone convincing enough to make sure nobody looks too closely. He says yes. It's going to cost her more than she thinks. ... This is a slow burn, written for readers who enjoy lingering, in scene, in tension, in the space between two people who aren't ready to admit what's happening. If you're after a fast read, this may not be it. If you enjoy patience rewarded, I hope you'll stay.

Georgie Calloway knows exactly how a good love story should go. It's a shame nobody told her life. After years hand-selling other people's novels in a beloved, faintly doomed London bookshop, Georgie talks her way into a job at one of the city's grandest literary agencies-and gives herself exactly one year to make something of her own unfinished story. One year. How hard can it be? Harder than she thought. Particularly when there's Jack, the man she meets entirely by accident and can't seem to stop finding her way back to. No matter how strangely fated it all feels, Georgie knows she cannot let herself want him. And then there's Tom: the maddeningly capable rival agent from the other side of a shared account, who keeps, somehow, ending up on hers. Between impossible clients, an unfinished novel, a career she can't afford to lose and two men who were definitely not part of the plan, Georgie's carefully plotted new life is rapidly going off-script. Because Georgie has always believed that if she works hard enough, she can earn the ending she wants. She's about to discover that the best parts of life are rarely the ones you plan.

Well, well, well. Did you miss me? I can spot a couple of new faces lurking in the back, so I suppose introductions are needed. I'm Kalliope Aoidós, a Book Jumper, and thanks to my family's spectacularly inconvenient curse, I've once again found myself trapped in an adventure. The odds of dying a horrible death? Alarmingly high, as usual. Just the way we like it. What can I say? I have standards. In a time of ancient gods, warlords and kings. A land in turmoil cried out for a hero. No, wait. That's Xena. I love the drama but we need one or two adjustments. Let's try again. In a time of the Cauldron and the Mother, of High Lords ruling their courts, deadly bargains, and the King of Hybern brooding over conquest and destruction, the fae people cried out for a hero to spare them from slaughter and an absolutely catastrophic plotline. At last, there came Kalliope, the mighty Book Jumper, forged in the heat of stories and questionable narrative decisions. Power struggles, reckless passions, political schemes, betrayals, ancient secrets, suspiciously attractive enemies, and enough emotional damage to keep therapists employed for centuries, all would be met with relentless sarcasm by the one woman who alone had the power to change the world. Over the top? Absolutely. But read my adventures first and then tell me with a straight face that I oversold any of it. History has always belonged to those who remained to write it. It remembers heroes and villains, victories and betrayals, but rarely everything that came before. The choices no one noticed. The mistakes no one understood. The moments that changed everything long before anyone realised the story had already begun. Because sometimes the truth is not hidden. Sometimes it is simply forgotten. The stories remembered the prince. They remembered the chosen girl of light. They remembered the villainess who was destined to fall. They never knew what was left unwritten. Beyond the capital lay forgotten kingdoms, ancient forests untouched for centuries, creatures lost to time, and a world far greater than any story could contain. A world where magic can create wonders or leave scars, where monsters gather for reasons no one understands, and every answer only reveals how many questions were never asked. Some endings were never written. Some stories refuse to stay the way they were told. Content Note: A slow-burn reincarnation/transmigration fantasy that focuses on the journey rather than rushing to the destination. Come for the plot, stay for the banter, chaos, and all the little moments that make the adventure worth it. Content & Trigger Warnings While this story contains plenty of humour, banter, and lighthearted moments, it also explores darker themes and may be distressing for some readers. This story includes: • Strong language • Fantasy violence and magical combat • Blood and graphic injuries • Death and grief • Child abandonment, neglect, and references to abuse • Starvation, poverty, and homelessness (including abandoned children) • War, corruption, and human suffering Reader discretion is advised. ⭐ Vote if you're enjoying it! 💬 I'd love to hear your thoughts! 📖 Share with a fellow book lover! ❤️

I accidentally almost killed someone with magic. My mother disappeared right after. And now I'm stuck in England with the grandmother she spent sixteen years warning me about. Tabetha Clarke is rich, terrifying, suspiciously wrinkle-free, and lives in a mansion full of silent servants who disappear when nobody's looking. Literally. Then there's the cat. The demon accusations. The midnight exorcisms. And the tiny little issue of my magic feeding off living things. Apparently, that's bad. Now everyone's acting like I'm either destined to become the most powerful witch in the family... or the reason it finally destroys itself. Personally, I'd just like one normal day and maybe a waffle that doesn't come with emotional trauma.

Meanwhile, on the planet, in the freezing mountains of Empris, Lyeasrakardsul, the oldest living sorcerer, suffers from devastating nightmares. At the same time, far away in the sandstone desert of Zenon, Herschel, a man filled to the brim with weird ideas is escaping a prison filled with strange old men. What does all this have to do with arsehole Gods, hairy Dwarfs, frustrated Afreets, curious Knomes, lizard-women, and nude Áettar? Perhaps Nothing, perhaps Everything... but why can't it be both?
