(As a side note, Violet Wolf came into the story during their first year. The Golden Trio is actually the Golden Quartet in this one. All stories are the same, except Violet helps defend the Trio against the werewolf as her animagus form is a wolf, as is her patronus. I'll give details on Violet in the story.) Part III Lord Voldemort had almost won the war with Dumbledore's death when a significant truth came to light that changed everything. Dorian Riddle, who was raised to be his successor, discovered his life wasn't what he thought it was. When it was revealed to him that he was the dead child of the Potters, he ran, unwilling to participate in the aimless war any longer. But circumstances had not allowed him to leave, and now, he is back with his birth parents, who are determined to destroy the man he still calls his father. People did open up sometimes, but his father had forbidden him from ever doing that. He never opposed it, knowing what a dangerous man he was.
