People did open up sometimes, but his father had forbidden him from ever doing that. He never opposed it, knowing what a dangerous man he was. Dorian Riddle, who was raised to be his successor, discovered his life wasn't what he thought it was. When it was revealed to him that he was the dead child of the Potters, he ran, unwilling to participate in the aimless war any longer. But circumstances had not allowed him to leave, and now, he is back with his birth parents, who are determined to destroy the man he still calls his father. Both sides had decided what Dorian was meant to be; fates that he refused to accept. All he wanted was time and autonomy, to make sense of his own being. But destiny had already planned something worse for him, and it may cost him more than the war itself- something he cannot return from.

The title says it all. I probably won't update this much but I will when I find another short fanfic or estimation on what happens after the wizarding wars, during The Golden Trio's school years and possibly the Marauders era.
