After years away in Canada, Nam Hue jeom returns to South Korea and begins life anew at the prestigious Ganghak Private High School. Outwardly serene and composed, Hue jeom is an observant, artistic girl carrying a past she has no intention of allowing anyone to see. She is accustomed to watching people from a safe distance-until she meets Geum Seong je.
Seong je is intelligent, elusive, and difficult to approach. Behind his glasses and seemingly careless smile is a boy who observes everything around him, yet fiercely guards his own privacy. With connections to a dangerous world beyond the school grounds, he is far more complicated than the aloof student his classmates believe him to be.
When the two are drawn together through an unlikely encounter involving pork stew, their relationship begins with curiosity, irritation, and an uneasy fascination. Both are exceptionally perceptive-but each is blind to the things that matter most about the other.
Behind the Glass is a slow-burning story about two people who are used to observing the world from behind protective barriers-and what happens when, despite themselves, they begin to see each other.
(Seong je's character is more inspired by his webtoon counterpart, Wolf Keum)
