This is the story of Pearlina, a tiny mermaid, as small as a doll, and Merrow Finless, a Water Elemental Faery who loves mermaids. A loose, mermaid-themed retelling of "Thumbelina" by Hans Christian Andersen, set in the same whimsical mermaid universe as Kae-Leah Williamson's previous Merfolk Tales novellas, although it can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Cora Sophia Brookes is trying to "make it" in New York's Harlem in the 1920s. Although surrounded by artists, poets, and jazz musicians, her life is a far cry from the glitz and glamour of the Cotton Club. A struggling artist, she does not have time for love. Nor does she believe in magic. Even as a child, Cora knew that it was just a fairy tale. Why then, does she have moments where she feels as if someone is missing? Why does she have brief periods where she would swear magical creatures such as pixies exist, and that she has seen them? Why does she feel as if she has forgotten something very, very important? Disclaimer: I do not own Fantastic Beasts or any of its characters. Only Cora is my own.

just like there are a few certainties in life-taxes and death-there are also a few at magnolia high school: the marching band winning another competition, and the football team losing another game. and in that similar inevitable fashion, every friday night, band director cecilia washington and football coach charlie morgan would somehow, someway find something new to argue about. written in third person(at the end, i might add chapters for both main characters in first person)! constructive feedback/criticism appreciated(i like to read comments)! :D please note that this story is for fun, and i'm just a high schooler, so my writing may not be up to par! thank you for giving my story a chance! :)

After years of building a life abroad, Amina Kamara seems to have everything she once dreamed of - independence, opportunity, and a carefully curated identity that fits seamlessly into her adopted world. But when a package of handwritten letters from her late grandmother arrives unexpectedly, Amina is pulled back toward the home she left behind: Freetown. Each letter reveals stories of resilience, sacrifice, love, and faith - pieces of a family history Amina never fully understood growing up. As she returns to Sierra Leone for the first time in years, she is forced to confront the parts of herself she quietly tucked away in order to "fit in" elsewhere. Caught between two worlds - the life she built and the roots she inherited - Amina begins rediscovering language, tradition, community, and the version of herself that once felt whole. Through tender reunions, painful truths, and moments of quiet revelation by the Atlantic shore, Letters from Freetown explores identity, diaspora, generational memory, and the invisible thread that ties us to home - no matter how far we travel. But when Amina finally stands at the edge of the ocean - the same waters that carried her away years ago - she must ask herself: Was she ever truly meant to leave... or was she always meant to return?

Being interrogated by the Ministry was only one incident of many that would give Celia cause to wonder if she truly wanted to put Newt through a relationship with her, when she's divided from him in so many ways. She never doubts her own love for Newt, or that he loves her, but she wonders if their love is worth the looks they sometimes receive in public, and the hoops they sometimes jump through to spare each other further disdain. But even with these uncertainties, life carries on, with midnight summons to gather farradins, bringing orphaned creatures to the grocery store in baby carriers, and trips to countries Celia had never before heard the name of. Besides, they have bigger things to worry about: the trench virus is under further investigation since more Muggles have been infected, and Celia is expecting a child of their own. *light romance *action comparable to previous stories (Sequel to Fantastic Hearts and When to Trust Them)
