Increased burden of Rachel being a sole financier for the household. Rachel's mental welfare and how she was faring at work. The first signs of Sinqobile's depression and suicidal thoughts. Part 3: Isolation and Control. How Lucky was manipulating her and trying to isolate Rachel from her friends and family. The way in which the pockets and the home were being drained by the gambling habits of Lucky, as well as Rachel's inner turmoil and helpless feelings. Sinqobile's growing depression and Rachel's attempts to help her while dealing with her own stress levels. Part 4: The Breaking Point. A very bad incident that finally makes Rachel realize the need for outside help. Telling someone at the hospital about her problems and commencement of therapy Sinqobile attempting suicide. The trauma of that night leaves its toll on this family. But it was then that Rachel realized that she had to save her children, herself from a life like this, and find an exit route. Part 5: On the Path to Recovery. Rachel's gradual empowerment with the assistance of therapy and support from colleagues. The development of a plan for leaving Lucky, and the relevant processes for the safety of her family. The struggles to save money, finding a new home. Rachel growing in confidence and determination. Part 6: Liberation and New Beginnings. Rachel works out an escape plan, the final confrontation with Lucky. Relocation to a new home with Sinqobile and Frank. Rebuilding life, finding peace.
