PROLOGUE: Exhaustion written across Irises pale, little face, small and shaking, she forced herself upright, her body freezing. A quiet sigh escaped her lips and echoed in her mind, breaking the unsettling quiet. The only noise, out here in the cold was that quiet, gentle roaring of the wind. Her chest rising slowly, unsteadily, she gazed up, her eyes half lidded. She could barely see, the dark, scary night-sky massive compared to Irises petite body. Her shoulders slumped in realisation, she was far away from her so called 'home'-- and in an awful lot of trouble. Her being caught would be a painful death sentence, more than anything else. In her twisted world, escape was nothing more than a myth. You were always caught. <her trembling hand rose to carefully brush over her cheek, and she felt exactly what she'd expected. Blood, some of it fresh and metallic, some of it had already dried. On her tongue lingered a nasty blend of the bitter blood and salty tears from before, making her feel the urge to gag. Wide eyed, her head pounding with overstimulation, her shoulders slumped. The chances of her finding safety were narrow, nicely said: It was more of an 'impossible'.

This is my first ever book so I am quite insecure and vulnerable about my writing, yet I hope that you people will like it! The prologue is rather "brutal" but I promise, the rest of the book is more of a complex, toxic love story. Please look forward to the first parts being published. :)
