Unknown beings have finally seen the earth as a menace, when they started to spread their toxic waste into space. For all those years, the planet was left in peace, but not any longer. In a rush of diseases, disasters and bloodshed, the human race is being extinguished. The only people who survive, a handful of kids. Margot an American teen from Boston, finds herself crossing countries as she does things she never thought she'd ever do for her safety. Until she meets a little Spanish boy who'd washed ashore the surface of a beach, Now she's fighting for the lives of two. Will they survive? Or will they succumb to ashes and debris?

Coasting through the last months of senior year, Crickett is counting down til she can put the small town in her rearview mirror. Days before her 18th birthday, she notices changes and strange things happening around her that she can't make sense of. Crickett begins to discover who she is. But fairytales aren't real, right?
