A breakaway is when the player with the puck has no defending players other than the goalie between them and the goal. They are left free to skate and shoot at will. Charlie lives life like she's on a breakaway with defenders hot on her heels and she knows she's going to score. Nothing has ever stopped her from going full speed into what she wants in life. With friends like Barry and Freddie on her wing she knows that she's unstoppable. The only thing Charlie's never been able to figure out is love. Not when she's in love with one of her best friend and her high school boyfriend crushed her heart. Love is the only thing she's ever been afraid of. Hockey is easy compared to love. Follow Charlie on her road trip from Colorado to Minnesota to play hockey and back again. A long winded love story told through dumb kids who play hockey, text messages, and instagram captions. Be gentile, this is my first time putting something like this out here. But I want to hear what every one thinks.

Meet Bradley, Bradley Stevens. She's the first female introduced to an all-male junior team in Minnesota; leaving her hometown Bozeman, Montana in the past. Shortly after graduation and saying good bye to her friends she is welcomed by a new billet family to which she will live with for the next few months of her life, playing for the Minnesota IceCapps. Although things seem to be going right, she soon meets the IceCapps captain who seems to be a bit sexist (and maybe jealous?), about a new female joining his team in which he thought would be male because of her masculine name which causes Bradley to rethink her decisions about leaving her old life behind. Which includes her widowed father and twin brother; Jake. Bradley soon must learn the ropes of a new atmosphere that may not be as welcoming as she's used to, and put up with her ignorant sexist captain for the meantime. But after all, high school is over now. Boy drama should be over too.... Right? *unfinished* - updates are random due to real life university taking up most free time
