This story will take place in 1976. This book is inspired by the movie Dazed and Confused. I DO NOT own any of the characters from Dazed and Confused, this is just for fun and yes as I said this story is based off the movie. A group of lifelong friends are at the end of their junior year and are about to become seniors. They love to smoke weed and to hang out together. On the last day of school, there's a new student. Shes also gonna be a senior and one of the guys from the gang will become friends with her and introduce her to the gang. Let's see what the future has for this gang and their new friend. On the last day of junior year in Lee County, Texas, seventeen-year-old Sophia Jameson should be celebrating summer, but instead she's stuck between everything she's been and everything she's supposed to become. With college brochures piling up on her desk and no clue what she wants after graduation, Sophia feels like she's the only one without a plan, and unfortunately, all her friends know it. What they don't know is that she's had a crush on her best friend, Benny O'Donnell, since fifth grade. As senior year looms closer and the future threatens to pull them in different directions, Sophia has to decide if she's brave enough to risk their lifelong friendship for a chance at something more or if she'll let fear and distance write the ending for her. • Welcome to August 1976 • Summer is winding down as Cherie, a soon-to-be senior at Robert E. Lee High School, has just moved in from another town to live with her aunt. How will things unfold as Cherie adjusts to a new place full of new people? This was intended to originally be a Slater story, but after a lot of indecisiveness I've settled on splitting it into two parts. One where Cherie ends up with Slater, a character I've always adored, and another where Cherie ends up with Don, a character I've come to love but have never found any stories written with him as a main character.
