Upon find out that Simba and the lions of the Pride Lands focuses certain animals to starve to death in the Outlands. Thomas, and his friends as well as the Lion Guard team up with all the Outlanders (consisting of the Lion Guard's hyena allies Jasiri and her clan and Scar's former army) to try and bring a new era to the Pride Lands and bring Simba and his pride down.

In this Backyardigans adventure, the Backyardigans travel to a world where they see things from a toy's perspective and meet toys that come to life in the room of a boy named Andy who loves playing with his toys. They meet Sheriff Woody, Andy's favorite toy. When Andy receives a birthday present, an action space figure named Buzz Lightyear, who is a new toy in Andy's room. Buzz Lightyear becomes popular among the toys, but he doesn't realize he's a toy, and Woody becomes jealous when he accidentally pushes him toward the window. When they get taken away by a mean boy named Sid Phillips, Woody and Buzz must work together and escape from Sid's house. Can the Backyardigans help them?

One day when waiting tables she stumbles into one of Trevor's band members, who might just be the key to reuniting the former best friends. Soon, he'll discover this apparent dream show is just a smoke curtain for something darker, and will need the help of the only light left in this crazy asylum to escape...
