Mage was always teased because she was an orphan. Mage always dreamed that her birth mother would come back to pick her up and make an excuse about how she was confused and she regretted not coming back for Mage, and when she did try to get her back the court wouldn't have it, but it never happened. So when Mage's 16th birthday came around Mage just stopped wishing for her birth mom to come for her at the exact moment a man with canine teeth the size of daggers smashed through the wall. This is were the story begins.
