This story is a group-chat comedy set in The Rookie universe, where a bunch of officers and friends from the LAPD share a chaotic text thread during shift. The plot centers around a morning call involving a mountain lion loose in Echo Park, which sparks a chain of teasing, confusion, and ridiculous commentary. The entire squad-including Tim Bradford, Lucy Chen, John Nolan, Angela Lopez, Nyla Harper, Wesley Evers, and Sgt. Grey, Jackson West, Tamara Colins, and Captain Zoe Anderson-chimes in. Nolan becomes the unintentional star after the lion steps on his radio, and everyone refuses to let him forget it. The humor comes from: Everyone is roasting Nolan for "trying to assess the lion's temperament." Tamara throws away Tim's ancient protein bar and calls it a rescue mission. Zoe Anderson is trying (and failing) to enforce professionalism in the chat. Grey is muting the chat repeatedly because the squad keeps creating chaos. Jackson volunteers to handle the next wildlife call because Nolan "has suffered enough." Overall, the story is a lighthearted, fast-paced, character-driven comedy that mimics how the LAPD team might behave if they had a group chat during shift-full of snark, team work, and nonstop chaos.

Angela, Wes, Tim, and Lucy go out on a double date. Nothing goes to plan when something unexpected happens, but they don't need perfect when they have each other.

This is based on a chenford love story. Chen and Bradford are always at each other's throats or playing some trick on each other, but is it just a tactic to shut out mix feelings? It's only when the Sergeant Grey wins a trip to a tropical resort that Angela tries to merge them together. Except it takes a toll on her and Wesely's relationship. How will it end?

Chen approaches Angela to learn a how to put a curse on Tim for his engagement practical joke. Angela sees this as an unique opportunity to help her best friend and fate along. Lucy doesn't get quite what she bargained for.

Angela and Wesley are battling jealousy and DA scandals. Celina is trying to finish her rookie year strong, and Aaron is nowhere to be found. And newly named Lieutenant Grey is just trying to keep his team in order. Two of the three new rookies will challenge Mid-Wilshire, but one of them just might be able to remind them why they do this job to begin with. As smoke erupts on the horizon, relationships are tested, danger looms, and death is waiting around every turn, Maya Hart might just be the spark the team needs to get through.

A fanfiction of The Rookie's Wopez! An alternative take on the relationship between Angela Lopez and Wesley Evers. Instead of a love at first sight, Love in Disguise gives us a slow burn, enemies to lovers relationship where, Angela and Wesley absolutely despise each other, but soon realize that deeper feelings underly the hate. Other Information: This take place in season 2 of The Rookie TV show. In the show, Lopez met Wesley in season 1, while in this fanfiction, she meets him later on. Not all events in the fanfic line up with the actual show. This is an alernative take on what could have happened.
