I had nothing to do really. I just sat on my desk looking around the office. I still hadn't gotten used to the new environment. It was way more lavish than my previous office. The tables are made of wood, but they are colored white. There are walls separating all desks from one another, but they aren't as high, so you can at least see your co-worker's forehead. Though, because of my height, I could see Ms. Marsvin's eyes.
She was looking at her screen, too engrossed in her work to even notice that I was staring into her eyes. Despite being the Vice President of Marketing, she volunteered to do this big task, which could've been done by us workers, and I just want to know why. Due to this task, she is stuck in the office at 8pm. I just stuck around to find out why and because there is nothing good I have to do back home.
Looking at her eyes, I realized how watery they are. They seemed shinier, glossier and a lot more watery than any eyes I've ever put my eyes on. And I couldn't help but blurt, "Are you crying?" Her eyes suddenly shot up and met mine, eyebrows furrowed. Now that they were directly on mine, I noticed that I was right, they were so shiny. Shiny in a way that I could get lost in them. But her words broke me out of the trance that I was about to get in. "Huh?"
