This is the version of the story I originally wrote, to any who might be interested, which had to be cut down in order to fit within the guidelines of the contest it was being entered in.

This is a difficult tale to tell, as you will soon understand why. The story of Lauren and Philip Ripton is one of heartache, depression, murder, rebellion, and abandonment. It's a passionate, yet heartbreaking tale. But it's true. Every word of it. When Philip Ripton accidentally broke the tea caddy he and his deceased wife, Lauren, recieved as a wedding gift, he thinks nothing of it. It's a tea caddy, after all, and he's never even used it. He has much larger things to worry about, like fleeing from his old home and the accidental murder he is being accused of. But the tea caddy was not just a tea caddy. All they have seen are flashes of her flying body and strange movements in her graveyard home. Discover the truths that the experts are desperate to uncover. Meet the Westbury Faery. 'Clap if you believe in Faeries.' Children were the first to report winged creatures, human-like in form but no bigger than the ring finger. These children were ridiculed and sent to asylums to cure their 'imaginations'. They quickly learnt to be silent but to 'clap their hands in delight' to convey faery rings to other seers. Few people realise the nursery rhyme, 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!' is derived from faery chasers. (Page 27, The Beginner's Guide to Faery Watching, By World Faery Society.)
