Excerpt: The air was like mints, fresh and cool. From the east the wind blew softly, a light kiss that just kept coming back for more. The sun, just beginning to turn back towards the earth, was casting shadows that stretched far and thin. So nigh so that they looked similar to deformed monsters. Even my own was unrecognizable to me, and (to be honest) it frightened me.

This is a short poem I wrote that describes what seems to be going on a lot in the world right now. I use a lot of metaphoric speech through this poem of mine, expressing my perspective on certain aspects in areas of life. But as an author, I'll let the readers decide how they perceive this poem. Hope you guys like it.

Auduji woke up at his best friend, River's planet, Earth. His age slowed and now he's a 19 year old kid going to Dale high, trying to blend in until he figures he way back to Unkan'rai. Alice Walsh is a freak. She's a mute because of her father. A father who beats her, a mother who whores herself around and a little brother to take care of. Her escape is Dale high. Though she's bullied at school she loves it there. She sees things most people see when they're drugged up. Everything was fine and normal for a small town until a Lord Of The Rings wannabe pale kid comes to town. Her life isn't so simple when she bumped into the mysterious pale kid one day. Audji doesn't know where he lands in this place called Earth, but he knows that his friend River is from this place. He enters a thing called school where he bumps into a mute dark haired girl with scars on her throat and sad blue doe eyes. He automatically knows something is different from her and the rest of the females. He wants to protect her; from everything. But she won't have it. Can Audji save Alice from her normal hell? Can he find his way back to his planet? He's determined to do both. A short story set in a dystopian world. In the aftermath of World War 3 the earth was divided in half. People chose if they wanted to live in a progressive world or go back to nature and live off the land. However, years later neither side knows how the other half lives. Clay and his family live off the land in poverty as is the norm in his community. His grandfather remembers a time before the segregation when children were allowed to go to school. He gives Clay the tools to explore the other side and it is up to Clay to decide whether to go or not. What is on the other side? Is the grass greener on the other side..?

A hopefully short book on things that make me laugh or certainly try to question my motives. Some of my thoughts are included and some parts may give a possible question or two. Anyway...hope you enjoy!!
