Worldventures Stories

This story was written for The Write Practice's Spring Writing Contest 2018. The theme for this contest was "the best bad choice." The story takes place in a world that's been floating in my head for a while now. The technology is eons ahead of where we are currently, transportation across continents is possible in seconds, and one unfortunate soul has had an accident. Reversible...but does she want to?

When Stella Bondle opens an ancient book, she's transported to Praugamal-a land of magic and mystery-only to find out she's the long-lost heir to the throne. Hidden away on Earth by her parents to protect her from a dangerous war, Stella now faces a new life of royal duty, unexpected powers, and the daunting idea of ruling with a husband by her side. Can she live up to her true heritage? Will she embrace her role as queen, or find a way back to her old life on Earth? And in a world where dreams and danger collide, can she survive the path ahead?
