This poem is inspired by the series of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. *** When sorrow becomes fire, and love stands on the edge of fate, only the strongest hearts endure. In a world ravaged by war and loss, she clings to the fire within-a fierce, icy blaze that burns away the lingering wounds of all she's lost. While the phantom pain of memories haunts her, the fire rages on, her only strength against a world falling to pieces. But as she battles to survive, she watches everything she once held dear crumble around her. Across the blood-stained snow, two lovers face each other as enemies, their fates entwined in a dance of survival and sacrifice. With silvered eyes and swords drawn, they stand poised on the battlefield, once bound by love, now separated by darkness. The choice before them is cruel: only one may survive, yet both will be lost. In this tale of sorrow and survival, love and war, will their story end in ashes upon the snow, or with dawn rising over the remnants of a shattered kingdom? *** It tells the story that inspires people who are stuck in the darkest corner of their lives to fight for the light and their fears of a better world that they deserve. This poem is very close to my heart. I hope it inspires you as much as it inspired me and helped me out of the darkness.

"I believe everyone's heart beats for a reason. We all have something that keeps the pulse beneath our skin in that erratic rhythm." "What does your heart beat for?" "Goodness, Althea. I thought you knew me by now. It beats for you. Only you. Forever you." "Forever me, you say?" "Forever you, I promise." :: Althea Maelin and her two siblings are dropped from the streets of southern Delta directly into the palace of King Retshert, who had known her late father ever since childhood. The change is drastic from the poverty that the small Maelin family knew. And for Althea, that interest of hers regarding Head of the Royal Guard Valaric Xavier is astoundingly new, too. But after a few months of beyond pleasant courtship, Valaric Xavier's body is sent back to Althea in a coffin. Mad with grief and terribly in love, Althea seeks out a witch to bring him back. But what she learns leads her to a journey that she will never forget, through three worlds that will decide her fate and test her love. Enter the first world: Magick :: Book One of the Althea trilogy

It is all simple, 'easy'. I then use my power and change my clothes within a blink of an eye, gone is the gorgeous, flowing dress I arrived in, as I now wear the simplistic, boring dress of those around me. I start on my way down the road, towards what seemed to be a marketplace of some kind. The portal well and truly closed all that is left is the centre symbol, a wyvern, drawn in my blood. Any characters from the original series are the all owned by the Queen Sarah J. Maas
