Set in post-war London, 1945, this is a slow-burn romance between Caroline Rosawells - a quietly guarded field nurse turned memoirist - and James Calloway, a tailor who tracked her down years after she saved his life in France, having recognized her name on the cover of her published memoir. Caroline lives with Hazel, the retired headmistress of the orphanage where she grew up, and works at the Marylebone Community Clinic alongside her closest friend Penelope. Her publisher and dear friend Samuel Austen lives four doors down. James lives four doors in the other direction, above his family's tailor shop. What begins as Thursday afternoon visits to drop off clinic linens becomes something neither of them can ignore - though Caroline tries harder than most. She is warm, perceptive, and extraordinarily practiced at keeping her own feelings at arm's length. James is patient, devoted, and quietly certain, asking her to dinner four times without complaint, reading her memoir twice before he ever knocks on her door, and dropping a lit cigarette the moment he hears her footsteps in the park because he knows about her asthma. The romance unfolds against the backdrop of post-war London - the rationing, the rubble, the strange quiet of people trying to remember who they were before everything - witnessed and gently conspired over by Penelope and Sam, who place a running wager on when the two will finally stop pretending. It is a story about survival, about the particular difficulty of wanting things for yourself after years of being useful to everyone else, and about what it means to be truly known by another person - damaged ears, wartime ghosts, locked drawers and all. It ends, twenty years later, with Samuel Austen burning a letter at Caroline's gravestone, beside the stone of the man who could not outlive her. But between the green door and the churchyard, there is a life - full, warm, and entirely worth the waiting.

❝ In the age of modernity, ruled by kings who viewed themselves chosen by God, what difference do these humans have with Representations as of ourselves? ❞ ━━ (Denmark-)Norway (1789). Prosoponologi (in Dano-Norwegian). p. 1. THE GLORIOUS AGE 1789-1914 As though a great change is foretold, it all started when the daughter committed patricidal regicide. Followed by the becoming of the revolutionary, the balance of power in Europe is more fragile than ever, and one push is all it takes to shatter. Once tranquility has been disrupted, two distinct beliefs clash for dominance, and the victory of one brings the inception of a new age. THE GRIM AGE 1914-1991 Perhaps it was clear to many how this war would bring an end to their imperial overlords, but not themselves. Though when the time for their fall comes, not one soul knew that in just twenty years, the world would descend to a war greater than the one before. And as the war inches closer to its end, gaining the ability to destroy themselves, the chances of humanity's extinction seem to be ever more likely. ╞═════✵═════╡ A historical countryhumans alternate universe based on the years of 1789 until 1991. Due to the reason above, this book would contain heavy topics which would be listed on the beginning of the book. Viewer discretion is advised. Cover art made by hualiyusheng23925 on Lofter. Available to read only on AO3 and Wattpad.

Chava Weiss had to leave the only home she'd ever known before things got worse. But her new home brings about new changes and familiar comments. New friends, a chance for love, though she doesn't yet know it, and the familiarity of antisemetic views, which she would rather not be the target of. Three friends navigate the world together and are soon encompassed in a war each wish never began. The price of freedom is high, and is it one they're willing to pay? That is a question they'll have to answer in time, and the answer may not be what they expect. [Sunday uploads] *I don't own Marvel. All credit goes to Stan Lee and the creators. I only own Chava.*

Set in the years of the Holocaust and World War Two (1938 to 1948) Amsterdam was a beautiful city, full of music, sound, and light. But it also was a city full of love. Or at least for the young Felix Gunter. Before the sirens, before the men dressed in black marched up and down the streets of Amsterdam, and before nearly 102,000 Jews were displaced from the Netherlands alone, young Felix was among the many who were not only friends with the Jews, but also was in love with one of them. Felix met Margret, a Christian whose father was a wealthy Jew, in 1937, and then began to court for two and a half years before the Nazi Party took over Amsterdam, nearly tearing the two apart. Not only was Marget's life changed, but so was Felix. Because of her family's ancestry, her and her family are transported to the Westerbrok Ghetto in Poland- but so is Felix'. The Gunter Family were Nazi Sympathizers during the war; however, they were still quite kind to Margret and her family. Felix' father forces him and his brothers to join Hitler's Youth; which will train them to become SS men. Felix and Margret's relationship is strictly forbidden, and it something that can put both themselves and their families in grave danger. However, it can also be the very thing that saves their lives. NOTE: This book is loosely based off of several different Nazi/Jew relationships during the Holocaust, and the events and places mentioned in this novel are also true. Please note however that most of the characters in this book are entirely fictional. Though the characters may not be real, the stories and testimonies of what people really went through during the Holocaust are VERY real and should always be remembered. "But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God." -John 3:21
