After the end of a successful year, our favorite Hetalia characters could not be more surprised at what happens on the first day of the new year. Suddenly they find themselves on the brink of a war caused by an act of stupidity. (Alfred!!!!!) Will all hope be lost? Or will they survive World War Three and The Crimson Sky?

We all knew it was going to happen. The day when the humans finally fell as the dominant species. It happened to the dinosaurs, didn't? The only difference between humans and dinosaurs is that the dinosaurs couldn't save themselves. They had no way of knowing what was coming. We did, though. We could've stopped it all a long time ago, but we didn't. The war started almost fifty years ago. World War III. No one could even remember what they were fighting for. The only thing anybody could focus on was winning. That's why they started firing the nuclear bombs. One by one countries were taken out by these bombs until finally there was no one left. No one but me. Now I survive on my own in this cruel, deserted world. Everyday the radiation effecting me more and more and I find myself coming closer to death. How much longer until I join the bodies covering the streets? How much longer until the radiation takes me, too?

After the wars running was my only option. I was away visiting family when the blasts hit. A nuclear attack was always something we only heard about in movies until last year. Tomorrow is never promised, and the war front moves closer to us every day. My friends and I refuse to fight in this war our nation started, but that doesn't mean we can escape it. Resources are scarce. Food is running out, most farms were bought out by the government to feed the armies or destroyed in the blasts. Finding water usually means a fight, but going without means certain death. Power has only been restored in major cities and military bases, leaving the rest of us scrounging for generators. Even now, two years after the Progress movement won the Civil War we can't trust a neighbor to help. They could be a New Confederate seeking revenge for a loss, a foreign spy hoping to get intel, or just a survivor hoping that you lead them to water so they can kill you and have it for themself. The only thing we can do is try to survive on the outskirts of the country and hope we don't become casualties of World War III.
