Maud Spellbody receives her Hogwarts letter as expected. Mildred Hubble, on the other hand, does not, and not because Mugglborn have their letters handled differently. (I'm using the newest live action adaption for Worst Witch for inspiration.)

In this story, I am transported by an enchanted wind to the lands of popular books and movies. But there's a catch- as soon as I realize where I am, I'm teleported to the next universe! However, halfway through it slows down, and I have to ask the characters for help. If you enjoy this story, you will probably enjoy Enid Blyton's book series on 'The magic faraway tree' as it has a similar plotline.
