Ethel Hallow entered Hogwarts expecting hindrances to the future plans she'd had. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter or Worst Witch. This is my third story for Froday Eternal Amnesty written for prompt three of table A which is enemy, and the idea of writing a side story to my one-shot crossover where Regulus meets Maud and Mildred on the train popped into my head, but the story is from Ethel's point of view about how in this crossover universe Mildred and Maud end up being her enemy number one.

Mildred's beginning her fourth year at cackles, with Indigo. Will things run smoothly for once? What adventures will they get up to this year?

This is a story that captures the neglected storyline between Miss Hardbroom & Miss Pentangle at Cackle's Academy. The story dives into the worst witch universe, while higlighting the words unspoken in the series.

When Mildred gets expelled after a potion project gone wrong, she doesn't know where to go. So when a man named Alaric Saltzman tells her of another place she can go she is relieved but sad as she has lost everything. Can a few new friends help her through this crisis? Mildred/Hardbroom.

Maud Spellbody receives her Hogwarts letter as expected. Mildred Hubble, on the other hand, does not, and not because Mugglborn have their letters handled differently. Meeting a Black on the train before getting sorted is also unexpected for Maud Spellbody. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter or Worst Witch. Based off the story "Wizard Rising" by Wicca Seeker, and based off an old idea of putting me in the Descendants universe as a teacher and gaining magical powers. I get hit by some random lightning bolt conjured by the Doctor Foster's effect, that gets everyone in the British magical community to scope me out of my 2012 era during summer break, then I'm forcibly transported to the Worst Witch universe during the late 90's and early 2000's. After graduating with honors from Camelot College and Weirdsister College simultaneously thanks to Hellibore's tutoring program, I teach Mildred Hubble's group in their fourth year at Cackles. It's honestly difficult to keep Ethel in line and also managing adolescent girls from causing trouble, worst of all is dealing with... "gulp" Ms. Hardbroom. I personally go by the alias Everett Scott in this story/fanfic.

In this story, I am transported by an enchanted wind to the lands of popular books and movies. But there's a catch- as soon as I realize where I am, I'm teleported to the next universe! However, halfway through it slows down, and I have to ask the characters for help. Hermione grew up reading fairy tales and other stories as an escape from her Cinderella-like life with her stepmother, her father none the wiser because of Ursula's underhanded tactics. Then, she learned magic was real, that the fairy tales--perhaps magic being real isn't a happily ever after fairy tale, but more akin to the nightmares painted by the Brothers Grimm. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter or Worst Witch. This is one of my ONC projects for 2024. This is written for prompt thirty-six, "'Fairytales are real,' and there couldn't be anything worse.." The Cinderella storyline provides the main elements, but there are also elements from other fairy tale stories. This also fulfills a prompt for a collection on AO3.
